Mark Clattenburg has been appointed as the referee for the Carling Cup Final between Cardiff City and Liverpool on Sunday 26th February.

The County Durham official was appointed to the Select Group list in 2004 and joined the FIFA list two years later. In 2008 he oversaw his first match in the Champions League and has gone on to referee qualifying matches in the European Championships and World Cup in the last three years.

He will be assisted on the day by Simon Beck and Mick McDonough while Anthony Taylor has been handed the role of fourth official. Darren Bond has been named as the reserve assistant referee for the match that kicks-off at 4pm at Wembley.
