If you're already having football withdrawal symptoms the draw for the Round 1 of the Carling Cup will be announced right here at www.football-league.co.uk at 9.30am on Tuesday 16th June.

70 Football League clubs will appear in the first round with Newcastle United and Middlesbrough receiving byes as the highest placed clubs in last season's league tables.

The next 35 clubs in last season's tables (down to Walsall - 13th place in League 1) will be seeded and drawn against the remaining 35 clubs.

As usual the Round 1 draw will be split into North and South with 17 northern pairings and 18 southern ones. To find out which section your team's in click here.
