POSH PUSH FOR SHOCK
Peterborough United are one of just three clubs from the Football League left in the competition and they travel to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night hoping to upset the form books.
Darren Ferguson's side go into the game on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Scunthorpe United, which moved them out of the relegation zone and their recent success, which has seen them achieve back to back promotions hasn't gone unnoticed by Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.
Speaking to PA Sport he said: "For a young man dropping into his first job, it can often be a tough time in terms of making a team with fewer finances, and sometimes your inexperience can cause you a problem.
"But it hasn't for him and he has obviously inherited a lot of the top qualities of his dad.
"One of those top qualities is that he is his own man, and his own man-manager, and he's used those skills to a very productive end with his success at Peterborough.
"Two promotions back to back is a huge achievement for any manager in any division - very few will have their name in the record books with that.
"Being such a young manager when he has done it, in his first full-time job, is brilliant."
HEY BIG SPENDER
Scunthorpe United travel to big spending Manchester City on Wednesday, looking to cause one of the upsets of the round. Nigel Adkins side have made it through to Round 4 with wins over Chesterfield, Swansea City and Port Vale, while City have overcome Crystal Palace and Fulham to set up the meeting.
City currently sit sixth in the Premier League table and the Iron players are under no illusion of how big the task is that they face. Speaking to the Scunthorpe Telegraph, defender David Mirfin said:
"We're not naive enough to think we can go there and play like we do in the league at Glanford Park.
"You have to play slightly differently, but hopefully we can go there and surprise them.
"We've already surprised a few people in this league, but that's credit to the lads and the club in general.
"Getting a result tomorrow would be the biggest surprise of the lot admittedly - even a few of the lads might be shocked - but you never know."
WHAT'S ON THE BOX
There's a double header of action from Round 4 starting on Tuesday at Oakwell, as Barnsley take on Manchester United.
Former Red Devils striker Mark Robins has been in charge of the Tykes for just 10 games and he knows it doesn't get much bigger than this one against the currently holders of the trophy, you can read what Robins has to say on the game by clicking here.
The player's aren't getting too carried away - after all they have beaten both Liverpool and Chelsea in the FA Cup recently - but as Luke Steele revealed to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk they believe they can cause another upset tonight:
"It is a big game but we have had bigger in recent years. The FA Cup Semi Final was bigger for us and some of the relegation scraps were huge as well. Manchester United are the biggest club we have faced of course because they are the biggest club in the world.
"It should be interesting and it is definitely one for people to get excited about. We know that we have to play well and stick to our strengths. We also know that we have done well in recent weeks and are not a team to take lightly."
Manchester United go into the game on the back of a high profile defeat at Anfield and Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for the right reaction tonight, speaking to MUTV he said:
"Part of the challenge is how you react to disappointment. We lost 4-1 to Liverpool at home last season, which was a travesty. But the players buckled down and we went on to win the league."
On Wednesday Rafa Benitez takes his Liverpool side to the Emirates to take on an Arsenal side who have scored more goals than anyone else in the Premier League.
Liverpool's win over Manchester United was their first in five games while Arsenal have let slip leads in both of their last two matches, to draw against AZ Alkmaar and West Ham United but Arsene Wenger doesn't believe complacency is the problem.
Speaking to www.arsenal.com he said: "It is not complacency.
"We just have to continue to play in a rigorous way, respect the game we love and the pass. That is what we forgot sometimes and we have paid for it.
"We play at top quality and at the moment we do not get rewarded for what we produce."
He will be hoping that if his side can reproduce their recent form then they will finally start to get their rewards.
