Swansea City's Jason Scotland, Peterborough United's Aaron Mclean and Brentford's Charlie Macdonald were celebrating today after being named February's Powerade Player of the Month for the Championship, League 1 and League 2 respectfully.

Coca-Cola Championship

Jason Scotland's fine goal-scoring form continued in February, netting three goals in four games to help his side remain unbeaten. The Trinidad & Tobago international began the month by scoring twice in Swansea City's comprehensive home win over Ipswich Town. He followed this by getting on the scoresheet in the Swans home win over Doncaster Rovers to leave Roberto Martinez's side heading into March just outside the Play Off places in the Coca-Cola Championship.

Also short-listed for the February award were Dele Adebola of Bristol City, Paul Heffernan of Doncaster Rovers and Watford's Tamas Priskin.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Jason Scotland has enjoyed a wonderful start to 2009, netting 11 goals since the turn of the year. All those who doubted his ability to find the net regularly in the Championship have certainly been proved wrong and his outstanding displays in February have helped Swansea remain in the shake up for a Play Off place as we enter the business end of the season."

Coca-Cola League 1

Aaron Mclean has been in impressive form in front of goal all season and this certainly continued in February, hitting five goals in six league fixtures. He began the month by netting a brace in his side's away win at Brighton & Hove Albion before getting on the scoresheet in their loss to Yeovil Town. Mclean helped Posh get back to winning ways by netting match winning strikes against both Hereford United and Carlisle United to keep Darren Ferguson's men in the hunt for automatic promotion in Coca-Cola League 1.

Also short-listed for the February award were Billy Jones of Crewe Alexandra, Febian Brandy of Hereford United and Walsall's Troy Deeney.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Aaron Mclean has been on fire in recent weeks. His goal scoring form has been crucial to Peterborough's success this season and he's sure to be a valuable player for Darren Ferguson over the coming weeks as his side continue their remarkable bid to land back-to-back promotions."

Coca-Cola League 2

Charlie MacDonald was among the goals once again in February, netting five times in six games for Brentford to take him to the top of the Coca-Cola League 2 scoring charts. He began the month in impressive style by scoring a hat-trick in his side's home win over Chester City. The forward followed this up with decisive strikes in the Bees' victories over both Port Vale and Rochdale to help them extend their lead at the top of League 2.

Also short-listed for the February award were Efe Sodje of Bury, Michael Twiss of Morecambe and Rotherham United's Andy Warrington.

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Charlie MacDonald has been the most consistent goal-scorer in League 2 this season. His all-round game has really improved and his five goals in six games in February underlines just how important he is to Andy Scott's side in their quest for automatic promotion this season."
