Sheffield Wednesday will donate up to £3 to charity for every replica shirt sold next season.

The Coca-Cola Championship club launch their new kit in a fashion show at Hillsborough today - and it goes on general sale on Saturday.

For each of the first 10,000 shirts sold, £1 will go to Sheffield Children's Hospital.

The amount will be doubled to £2 for the second batch of shirts and, if the Owls sell more than 20,000, each replica sold after that will bring to £3 the payment to the hospital.

Chairman Lee Strafford said: "We hope they prove to be the most popular Wednesday shirts ever.

"The more fans who buy Wednesday shirts, the more money we are able to direct to the Children's Hospital charity.

We would like to see thousands of Owl shirts being worn throughout Sheffield - and the world."

The club have teamed up with the Sheffield branch of John Lewis to launch the new PUMA kit in style at Hillsborough.

Mark Beevers, Luke Boden, Richard O'Donnell, Akpo Sodje and Richard Wood will take to the catwalk to model it.

All proceeds from the event, which includes a disco and buffet, will go to the Children's Hospital.

Tickets costing £10 can be bought in person at the Owls Megastore - or by phoning 0871 900 9700.
