Coventry City have re-opened their family zone to provide their fans of the future with an exclusive area to sit and watch their beloved Sky Blues in an environment free from bad language and anti-social behaviour.
Following a £25,000 facelift, the Junior Sky Blue Family Zone which is situated in the corner of the Telegraph and Telent Stand is dedicated purely to young fans and their friends and family.
The area behind blocks 32-35 of the Ricoh Arena was officially opened at the end of September before the City's tie with local rivals Leicester City.
Marketing Director of the Ricoh Arena and Coventry City, Liz Cooper explained how the exclusive area will benefit the younger supporters:
"The club has always been committed to providing an enjoyable match day experience for our young fans at the Ricoh Arena.
"Providing a dedicated area will only enhance the enjoyment for current and prospective JSB members."
Club mascot, Sky Blue Sam attended the ribbon cutting along with City stars David Bell and James McPake which included the opening of a new food and drink outlet called Sammy's Snacks.
In addition, the club will have stewards on-hand in the area to enforce the club's zero-tolerance attitude policy to bad language and anti-social behaviour.
"The project also underlines the club's further support for the Football League's Fans of the Future and Enjoy the Match campaigns," added Cooper.
