A DJ Campbell hat-trick proved the difference between Blackpool and Nottingham Forest as the Tangerines ran out 4-3 winners in the second leg to book their place at Wembley.

Blackpool went into the match with a 2-1 advantage courtesy of Charlie Adam's second half penalty in the first leg but Forest drew early blood to level the tie.

The game was just seven minutes old when Robert Earnshaw converted Radoslaw Majewski's pass to put the home side back on terms with the Tangerines.

The match stayed that way until ten minutes into the second half when DJ Campbell pounced for Ian Holloway's side. The striker netted his fourth goal in nine appearances since signing on loan from Leicester City during the transfer window.

The lead though was to last just ten minutes as Earnshaw grabbed his second of the game to restore Forest's advantage on the night and level the overall score for the third time.

Three goals in seven minutes then swung the tie in the favour of Blackpool and secured them a trip to Wembley for the Championship Play-Off final. First Stephen Dobbie struck on 72 minutes and then Campbell made it 5-3 on aggregate with his second of the night four minutes later. Campbell completed his treble with 11 minutes to go.

Forest sub Dele Adebola clawed a goal back two minutes into injury time but it was to prove to be nothing more than a consolation as the visitors secured a 6-4 aggregate win over two legs.

Blackpool now await the winners of Leicester City's second leg with Cardiff City - being played on Wednesday night - in the final on Saturday 22nd May.
