Sheffield United have been relegated from the npower Championship after they drew 2-2 at home to South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.

The Blades, who have won just 11 games this season, will play in League 1 next season, for the first time since 1989.

It's just five years since the club were playing in the Premier League after winning promotion at the end of the 2005/06 season, under the stewardship of Neil Warnock.

This season the club have had three different managers - Kevin Blackwell, Gary Speed and now Micky Adams but all have failed to stop the slide.
