After securing their place in the npower Championship for another season Crystal Palace will be raising a glass this weekend to celebrate and it's a glass of their very own real ale.
The Club in partnership with actor and Palace fan Neil Morrissey, will launch their own ale at the first ever Crystal Palace Beer Festival on May 14th.
The festival which is being held at Selhurst Park will give Palace supporters the first opportunity to taste the new recipe that Neil has crafted specifically for the fans. Neil will be at the festival to get the fans' feedback and it is anticipated that the beer, Palace Ale, will then be on sale at Selhurst Park next season for all supporters to enjoy.
Neil said: "Palace Ale is a fantastic beer and I'm sure the Palace fans will love it. I look forward to meeting many of them and getting their feedback at the festival."
The introduction of the beer follows the success of the addition of real ale to the matchday experience at Selhurst Park this season. Focus groups held by the club at the start of the season indicated a demand for the beer, and it has gone down so well that the club have recently decided to hold their own beer festival.
Tickets for the festival are just £5 and selling fast and, with a sell-out anticipated, the club are urging fans to get their tickets early.
