Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.

There were some outstanding opening day performances across the country in the npower Championship, and it was a day for debuts and firsts in the first Team of the Week of the season.

Michael Chopra became an instant hero with two debut goals for Ipswich Town in their 3-0 win over Bristol City. Reading's Mathieo Manset matched Chopra's brace with two goals for Reading in the Royals' 2-2 draw with Millwall, both goals coming in the final five minutes after the French striker had come on as a substitute.

However it was another sub, Will Buckley of Brighton & Hove Albion, whose goals will perhaps live longest in the memory. The debutant came off the bench to score twice in the last seven minutes and give the Seagulls a win over Doncaster Rovers in the opening game of their brand new Amex Stadium.

Further west along the coast Adam Lallana of Southampton scored in his side's impressive victory over Leeds United while Grant McCann of Peterborough United and David Norris of Portsmouth also added goals to impressive midfield displays for their sides.
