Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.
West Ham United continue to put pressure on the early leaders and a 1-0 win over Peterborugh United was packed full of fine individual performances. Goalkeeper Robert Green, centre-half Abdoulaye Faye and central midfielder Mark Noble all starred, with Noble scoring the only goal of the game with an 11th minute penalty. The win kept the Hammers in fourth place in the table just one place and one point behind Derby County who enjoyed a 3-0 win at home to Millwall. John Brayford, Ben Davies and Jeff Hendrick all earn their places in the Team of the Week, with Hendrick also getting on the scoresheet.
Friday night saw a pulsating game at the Amex Stadium which saw Brighton and Hove Albion and Leeds United draw 3-3. Seagulls striker Craig Mackail-Smith was his usual all action self, scoring two goals for the home side while Ross McCormack also bagged a brace with a dramatic last-gasp equaliser his ninth goal in all competitions this season. McCormack and Mackail-Smith earn the front places in the Team of the Week while Wes Morgan of Nottingham Forest earns a place at centre-half for his part in a 1-0 win at Watford.
Left-back George Friend helped Dean Saunders get off to a perfect start at Doncaster Rovers with a 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace while Robert Koren gave Hull City the lead at Ashton Gate before Bristol City hit back in a 1-1 draw.
