Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.
The npower Championship kicked off 2012 in style with some dramatic action in the first games of the New Year - meaning plenty of competition for places in the Team of the Week.
Taking the goalkeeping spot is Derby County's Frank Fielding after a second clean sheet in three games and some good saves as the Rams climbed to ninth with a 1-0 win at Hull City.
Blackpool put themselves on the edge of the Play-Off places with a resounding 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough, who had their eyes on top spot. The Seasiders' Alex Baptiste is the first member of the defence alongside Aaron Mokoena of Portsmouth, James Tomkins of West Ham United, and Doncaster Rovers' Herita Ilunga.
Mokoena enjoyed a good afternoon in Pompey's back-line as they beat Watford 2-0, Tomkins helped the Hammers keep a clean sheet and beat Coventry 1-0, while Ilunga was in form as Rovers beat Yorkshire rivals Barnsley 2-0.
This week's midfielders were all on target with goals to go with fine performances in helping their teams to victories.
Garath McCleary fired in a stunner for Nottingham Forest in their 3-1 success at Ipswich Town, and Blackpool's Matt Phillips rattled in his side's opener against Middlesbrough.
Joining them are Aron Gunnarsson, who registered for the Bluebirds as they beat Reading 3-1, while completing the foursome is Brighton & Hove Albion's Matthew Sparrow, who bagged a double as the Seagulls overturned table-topping Southampton 3-0.
Also in for scoring a brace is Nottingham Forest forward Marcus Tudgay, with his first at Ipswich ending the club's 10-hour goal drought.
Alongside him in attack is Derby's Theo Robinson, who netted the only goal at Hull to earn his side a third straight win over the festive period.
