Reading manager Brian McDermott has admitted he may be forced to sell winger Jimmy Kebe this month.
Kebe, who has turned down a lucrative new contract offer at the Madejski Stadium, has already been the subject of a bid - believed to be from West Ham - in the January transfer window.
While McDermott would ideally want to keep the Malian in Berkshire on an extended deal, the Royals boss conceded he may have to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing when his current contract runs out this summer.
He told the Reading Post: "We either have to do a contract here or my gut feeling is, that if a contract is not signed at Reading, then something will happen somewhere else.
"There will be interest from other parties, I know that.
"We've had interest and we've had a bid. We turned it down, but that's all I will say."
