Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies has been named npower Championship Player of the Month for January.
Davies picks up the npower Player of the Month award after helping his side to 13 points from a possible 15, scoring three times in the process.
Blues boss Chris Hughton said: "Curtis is going through a really good period and in he's in form. He's been injury free, which has had a fair amount to do with it, and that's given him a really good momentum in his game.
"He wants to play every game and we're benefiting from that."
Sky Sports' Football League expert Peter Beagrie sits on the npower Player of the Month judging panel.
He said: "Curtis is fulfilling the huge potential he showed when he first broke into the senior team at Luton Town.
"He led by example during Birmingham's great run of form in January and proved to be a giant in the heart of their defence."
Blues boss Chris Hughton was also named as the npower Championship Manager of the Month and npower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins said: "Birmingham were in fantastic form last month, scoring goals aplenty and defending stoutly to force their way into the promotion picture.
"Chris and Curtis both deserve great credit for their contribution to the team's performances last month, particularly memorable away wins over Millwall and Leeds United.
"On behalf of npower, I'd like to congratulate Chris, Curtis and the rest of the team, and wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season."
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports Football League expert Peter Beagrie, Football League Head of Communications John Nagle, BBC Sport's Mark Clemmit and npower Head of Sponsorship Emma Collins.
