There is just one game live on TV this week and it's bound to be a real classic from the npower Championship despite falling on one of the unluckiest days of the year.

Friday 13th April sees league leaders Southampton take on second placed Reading at St Mary's in an evening kick-off which could find both sets of fans feeling more than a little superstitious.

And to add that extra bit of spice both teams are level on points at a crucial time in the season with an impressive haul of 82 - although the Saints do have a superior goal difference by nine. But with just four games remaining this encounter could prove decisive in the title run in.

Looking at recent form there isn't much between them. Southampton and Reading have pulled away from the teams below - West Ham United in particular - with some impressive results which have seen both sides lose just once in their last 10 games.

The Saints have been solid at St Mary's this campaign - losing just two matches at home, scoring 44 and conceding just 16 goals. And striker Ricky Lambert will be keen to build on his personal tally of 26 league goals as the visitors travel to the south coast.

But the Royals will certainly prove to be no pushover as manager Brian McDermott has pulled together a side with a real hardworking team ethic. Reading have one of the best away records in the npower Championship picking up 12 wins, drawing three times and losing six.

The last time these sides met in the league back in October it ended in a 1-1 draw. The Royals will look back on the game at the Madejski Stadium as two points dropped after taking the lead through Mikele Leigertwood.

The game looked almost over after Southampton were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of skipper Dean Hammond but the Saints managed a dramatic late equaliser thanks to a stunning finish by Steve de Ridder.

With so much at stake this time round it wouldn't be surprising to see the referee kept busy again which certainly means this will make interesting viewing come Friday.
