Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland has been called up to England's Euro 2012 squad after Norwich City's John Ruddy was ruled out of the tournament with a broken finger.
The 19-year-old, who has been involved with the national set-up since Under-16 level, is a product of Birmingham's youth academy and spent time on loan at npower League 2 club Cheltenham Town this season, where he excelled.
He will join the rest of the England players next week and become a part of the preparation ahead of the tournament, which kicks off in June.
With Butland in the squad, there are now two players travelling to Poland and Ukraine who have played in The Football League this season. West Ham United's Robert Green is the other who may represent Roy Hodgson's team at the tournament .
