Jack Butland, Marvin Sordell and Jason Steele have been called up to represent Team GB at London 2012.

Birmingham goalkeeper Butland, 19, Middlesbrough goalkeeper Steele and 21-year-old Bolton striker Sordell will link up with Stuart Pearce's squad later this month as they begin their preparations.

Butland, who travelled to Euro 2012 with Roy Hodgson's England, will be rivalled for the number one jersey by Steele.

The call-up rounds off a hectic summer for the teenager, who was subject to a £6million bid from Premier League new boys Southampton last week.

While Sordell joins Craig Bellamy, Scott Sinclair and Daniel Sturridge as Pearce's attacking options.

The former Watford forward joined Owen Coyle's side in January and went on to make three Barclays Premier League appearances last season.

Britain kick off their first Olympic football campaign against Senegal at Old Trafford on July 26, but Steele will be treated to more familiar surroundings when they entertain Brazil in a friendly at the Riverside Stadium six days earlier.

Swansea boast three representatives in the form of Joe Allen, Neil Taylor and Scott Sinclair, while Tottenham defender Steven Caulker spent last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium.

As was widely reported beforehand, Manchester City defender Micah Richards, Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs and Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy are the three over-age players in the under-23 group, with no place for David Beckham.
