Birmingham goalkeeper Colin Doyle has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The 27-year-old Irishman will start his 11th season with the Blues having progressed through the academy to sign his first professional contract in 2003.

Doyle told the club's official website: "I love it here at Blues. It's a great club, a massive club.

"I'm pleased to have re-signed and I'm really looking forward to getting back in on Monday and seeing the lads and the new management staff."

Doyle has made 50 first-team appearances for Birmingham and has had loan spells at Chester, Nottingham Forest, Millwall and Coventry.
