Tom Parkes has completed his switch from Leicester to Bristol Rovers.

Parkes spent four months on loan with Rovers last season and the promising defender has now made a permanent move to the npower League Two club.

The 20-year-old centre-back agreed personal terms and tied up the formalities of the deal on Thursday.

Parkes, who came through the youth ranks at Leicester, made 14 league appearances for Rovers during the second half of last season.

He has also spent time on loan with Burton and Yeovil after turning professional in 2010.
