Each week the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from the weekend's matches.
Peter Whittingham was the hat-trick hero for Cardiff City as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 and he makes the Team of the Week for his outstanding performance in the match.
The 27-year-old scored from the spot on 11 minutes, after Craig Noone was brought down in the box, and followed that up by finishing coolly from the edge of the area to give the Bluebirds a 2-1 lead. The former Aston Villa man then wrapped up the comfortable win with a stunning free-kick.
Partnering Whittingham in the centre of midfield is Derby County's Craig Bryson. The 25-year-old pulled the strings during his side's dominant 5-1 win over Watford. Fellow Derby County player Jamie Ward also shone in the rout, getting his name on the scoresheet, to make the Team.
Lining up alongside Ward up top is Brighton and Hove Albion's Craig Mackail-Smith, who bagged a brace in a 3-1 win over Burnley, one of which was a stunning over-head kick.
Millwall's James Henry takes the right-wing position. He helped the Lions gain control of their fixture against Middlesbrough, setting up Liam Trotter's 20-yard volley in the 25th minute.
On the opposite side is Barnsley's Jacob Mellis. The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the game for the Tykes, as they secured three points against Bristol City.
At the back, there's a Hull City spine with Ben Amos taking his place between the posts and Abdoulaye Faye at centre-back. Amos put in a solid display in the Tigers' 3-1 win over Bolton Wanderers, while 34-year-old Faye topped off a good defensive performance with a headed goal just after half time.
Leicester City's Liam Moore is also rewarded with a centre-back slot in the Team of the Week after playing a big part in the Foxes' clean sheet against table-topping Blackpool.
Either side of the central-defensive duo is Nottingham Forest's Sam Hutchinson and Blackburn Rovers' Markus Olsson.
Hutchinson, who is on loan from Premier League side Chelsea, scored what turned out to be the winning goal in Forest's match against Charlton, while on the left, Olsson also grabbed a goal as Steve Kean's side drew 3-3 with Leeds United.
