Hull manager Steve Bruce could face FA disciplinary action for his dismissal during his side's 3-1 defeat at Leicester on Sunday.

The Tigers boss was quick to apologise to referee Eddie Ilderton and his assistants for his conduct after being sent to the stands for disputing a decision eight minutes from time.

But Bruce must now wait for the referee's match report to the FA to learn whether he faces further punishment.

"I've been in to see the referee and sometimes you do stupid things," Bruce said after seeing his side slip to their first defeat in five matches.

"I've apologised. I contested a decision which went against us, but I still shouldn't go on like some lunatic in the way I did. The ball wasn't out, but that shouldn't excuse me going on like an idiot."
