Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll admits he is still trying to figure out what his best team is.

After back-to-back npower Championship defeats to Leeds and East Midlands rivals Derby, O'Driscoll acknowledges that Forest still have some fine tuning to do after making significant changes to their squad.

The Reds boss believes they will find their best form once it becomes clear how to best piece together the 12 new signings that have arrived at the City Ground over the summer.

"We are still forming as a team," O'Driscoll told the media ahead of Wednesday night's home game against Blackburn. "A month ago I could have told you my best XI but since then we've added Simon Cox and Billy Sharp, Chris Cohen is fit, Henri Lansbury is getting there and Jermaine Jenas has just come into the squad.

"So the answer to anyone who asks me what my best XI is now would be: 'I don't know'.

"Overall the squad has improved, so in some senses I've taken a step forward but in the same sense I've also taken two steps backwards because I'm back in a situation where I need to fit this team into the way we want to play.

"That's the situation we're in and hopefully people will understand that and bear with us."
