Cardiff striker Craig Bellamy has made a donation of over £4000 for the children of a woman killed in a series of hit and run incidents in the city earlier this month.
The 31-year-old mother of three Karina Menzies died in the collisions on October 19 and a collection at the Bluebirds' clash with Watford last Tuesday saw £4,155 raised for her family by supporters - a total matched by the Welshman.
In addition to that amount the football club donated £1,690 meaning the total reached £10,000.
Cardiff spokesman Barrie McAuliffe told the BBC: "The club are honoured to add to the total raised thanks to two very generous individuals indeed.
"Craig Bellamy, as pledged, is matching the funds raised on Tuesday night as a personal commitment to his local links.
"Cardiff City principal investor Tan Sri Vincent Tan has also confirmed his wish to see the total funds raised that night reach £10,000 on behalf of the club, recognising our place and responsibilities within the wider community."
