Tony Mowbray has praised the contribution of playmaker Emmanuel Ledesma to Middlesbrough's climb up the npower Championship table.
The 24-year-old Argentinian has started making an impression on Teesside since his summer move from Walsall and was a key figure in Friday night's 3-1 home victory over Sheffield Wednesday which briefly took Boro into first place.
Mowbray told the Evening Gazette: "Emmanuel has always shown an eye for a killer pass, even though he over-elaborated at times through pre-season.
"He is a wonderful talent with a great work ethic too. He helps the whole team out with his running back to do a shift in defence.
"I think you are seeing now out on the pitch the player we always thought he could be.
"He has what I call soft feet, he is nice on the ball and he can feel the weight of a pass."
