Burnley's Charlie Austin has been rewarded for his hot streak in front of goal after collecting the npower Championship Player of the Month award for October.
The 23-year-old had a month to remember, finishing October with seven goals from five games - including a hat-trick in the 3-3 draw against Sheffield Wednesday. In an otherwise indifferent season so far, Austin's goals have lit up Turf Moor and currently make him one of the most prolific strikers in Europe.
npower Sponsorship Manager Emma Collins said: "When you're outscoring the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, you have to be doing something right and there's no doubt that Charlie was a deserving winner this month.
"Few opposition managers have worked out a way of stopping his goal scoring form and as long as he continues to plague defences as he has done so far this season, we can see him finishing the season as the npower Championship's top goal scorer quite comfortably."
