Hull have signed Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale on a short-term loan deal.

The 27-year-old will remain at the KC Stadium until January 2 and offer competition to fellow loanee Ben Amos, who joined from Manchester United.

Stockdale has made 23 appearances for Fulham but has been unable to replace Mark Schwarzer as first-choice at Craven Cottage.

It is the former York and Darlington keeper's fifth loan spell since he joined Fulham, having spent time with at Rotherham, Leicester, Plymouth and Ipswich.

He is expected to go straight into Steve Bruce's squad for the visit of Burnley on Saturday.
