Defender Scott Griffiths has had his contract at Peterborough cancelled by mutual consent.
Griffiths has not made a first-team appearance for Posh since moving to London Road on a permanent deal, having previously been on loan, from Dagenham & Redbridge in January 2010.
The 27-year-old has had loan spells at Chesterfield, Crawley, Rotherham and most recently this season at Plymouth and is now a free agent.
Despite playing no competitive football since that stint at Home Park, Griffiths insists he is ready to go straight into the team when a club snaps him up.
"I enjoyed it at Plymouth and I'm looking forward to hopefully finding somewhere where I can play regularly again," Griffiths said.
"That loan helped me get my match sharpness back and I've been training every day with Peterborough since, so if anyone needs a left-back then I'm ready. I'm ready to go straight in if I'm needed.
"Hopefully there will be some interest because sitting on the sidelines, like I have been at Peterborough, just isn't me."
