Michael Keane has extended his loan with Leicester until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old defender has impressed during his six appearances for the Foxes since signing on loan from Manchester United in November.

Keane's initial stay was scheduled to end after Thursday's npower Championship match against Wolves, but he will now be available to help the midlands club in their promotion bid.

City manager Nigel Pearson told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased that Michael will be staying with us until the end of the season.

"It's been a steep learning curve for him, but he has done exceptionally well for us."
