Each week, the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from the weekend's matches.

Peterborough United lifted themselves off the bottom of the table at the weekend with a 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers and the star of the show was striker Dwight Gayle, and he takes his place up front in this week's npower Championship Team of the Week.

The 22-year-old claimed the match ball with a stunning hat-trick in the opening 27 minutes at Ewood Park. He turned home a rebounded shot with his left foot to open the scoring then doubled his tally three minutes later with a header back across the goalkeeper. He made it a perfect hat-trick before the half-hour mark by slotting home from close-range with his right boot.

Partnering Gayle up top is Brighton and Hove Albion's Jose Ulloa. The Spaniard also bagged three goals on Saturday, in the Seagulls' 4-1 success against Huddersfield Town at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton and Peterborough both have another player in this week's team - central midfielder Moreno David Lopez and winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing respectively.

Lopez caused havoc for the Huddersfield defence, setting up Ulloa's second with a pinpoint cross before converting a penalty in the final 10 minutes.

Mendez-Laing, meanwhile, played a significant role in two of Dwight Gayle's three goals.

Completing the midfield is Watford's Almen Abdi and Nottingham Forest's Andy Reid.

Abdi curled in a perfect free-kick to give the Hornets the lead in Friday night's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which ended 1-1, while Andy Reid performed well in Forest's 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Middlesbrough secured only their second win of 2013 with a 2-1 victory over top of the table Cardiff City and defenders Stephen McManus and George Friend make the XI.

Leeds United were also victors, winning 1-0 at Elland Road against Millwall courtesy of a Stephen Warnock penalty, and the 31-year-old takes the left-back spot.

Tommy Smith completes the back line. The Ipswich Town man was pivotal in the Tractor Boys' 1-0 triumph against Leicester City, which boosted their Championship survival chances.

Rounding off this week's team, in goal, is Burnley 'keeper Lee Grant, who registered a clean sheet to help the Clarets beat Charlton Athletic 1-0.
