Each week, the Official Football League website will bring you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team's of the Week feature the eleven top performing players from each division from the weekend's matches.
Peterborough United claimed a headline-making triumph on Saturday, beating high-flying Watford 3-2 to haul themselves out of the bottom three, and Posh striker Dwight Gayle is named up top in the npower Championship Team of the Week.
The 22-year-old sent Danny Swanson free to open the scoring, before he doubled the lead on the hour mark. Gayle was also involved in his side's third, being fouled giving Lee Tomlin the opportunity to convert a free-kick from just outside the box.
Partnering Gayle in the attack is Charlton Athletic's Ricardo Fuller, who is one of three Addicks players to make the team.
The London outfit thrashed lowly Barnsley 6-0 to secure their first victory at Oakwell in 18 years and Fuller, central midfielder Johnnie Jackson, who both got their names on the scoresheet, as well as right-back Chris Solly, have all been named in the squad.
Leeds United also picked up an important win in Brian McDermott's first game in charge. A Luke Varney headed brace was enough to lift the Whites past Sheffield Wednesday 2-1, and Varney is included in this week's XI.
The rest of the defence, alongside Charlton's Solly, were also involved in keeping clean sheets for their respective teams.
Scott Dann played a big part in Blackburn Rovers' priceless 2-0 win against Derby County, scoring their second goal, while Cardiff City's Leon Barnett was impressive for the Bluebirds as they edged closer to the Premier League by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0.
Wayne Bridge, meanwhile, who is at left-back, was pivotal for Brighton and Hove Albion, who beat Middlesbrough 2-0 at the Riverside. Winger David Lopez, the scorer of Brighton's second goal, also makes the team.
Completing the team is Blackpool duo Matt Gilks and Ludovic Sylvestre. Goalkeeper Gilks was on hand to foil Burnley's attack several times at Bloomfield Road, while midfielder Sylvestre scored the only goal of the game to give the Tangerine all three points.
