The nominations for the npower Championship Manager of the Month award for April have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Dougie Freedman (Bolton Wanderers)
Although they narrowly missed out on a Play-Off position, Dougie Freedman's Bolton Wanderers side had an impressive surge in April. Four wins, a draw and a solitary loss gave the Trotters 13 points in the month and they will now be hoping that momentum carries on into next season for another concerted promotion push.

Chris Powell (Charlton Athletic)
It's been a good first season back in the Championship for Chris Powell's Charlton Athletic and they finished the season strongly with an unbeaten month. Three wins and three draws in April ensured that the South London side finished ninth, just three points off the Play-Offs and they'll be looking to build on this success next season.

Gus Poyet (Brighton and Hove Albion)
Gus Poyet's Brighton and Hove Albion looked destined for a Play-Off position at the start of the month and an undefeated run of three wins and three draws made sure of it. An emphatic 6-1 home win over Blackpool sent out an especially stark warning to their fellow Play-Off contenders.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News, from 9am.
