Doncaster have completed the signing of former Oldham captain Dean Furman on a free transfer.

The South African midfielder initially joined Rovers on loan from Oldham in March and was part of the side that won the League One title.

And Furman, 25, has now returned to the Yorkshire club on a two-year deal to be reunited with former Latics boss Paul Dickov.

Dickov made Furman of Oldham and the new Rovers boss has moved to bring the Cape Town-born central midfielder to the Keepmoat Stadium after his contract with the Latics expired.
