Burnley have shipped Marvin Bartley to Sky Bet League One outfit Leyton Orient on a 28-day loan in a bid to build up his fitness.

The 27-year-old midfielder's preparations for the new campaign have been disrupted by a hamstring injury and Clarets boss Sean Dyche is hoping his time with the O's will prove fruitful.

"Marvin has had a disjointed pre-season after picking up a hamstring injury, so he is around three weeks behind everyone else," Dyche said.

"He really needs to be playing competitive games, so the move will hopefully give him that opportunity."
