Bournemouth defender Elliott Ward believes new loan signing Andrew Surman can add some Premier League class to their squad this season.
Surman, who joined on a season-long loan from Norwich on Thursday, links up with ex-Canaries team-mate Ward at the Goldsands Stadium.
"He's got a lot of Championship and Premier League experience and I think he will help make the squad strong," Ward told the club's official website.
"He's here to play games and, hopefully, he can play as many as he can throughout the season because I think he is a Premier League player.
"I was really pleased when I heard he was coming here because he's a good friend and a good player and he will improve the squad."
He added: "He was unlucky last season, but he's had a good pre-season and I'm sure he will do well for the team."
