The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for August have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Troy Deeney (Watford)
Five goals in five games featured the first hat-trick of his career in the 6-1 win over Bournemouth - the second goal of which was a rasping shot at the end of a driving run. His all-round play was equally dynamic in August.

Clint Hill (Queens Park Rangers)
The heartbeat of Rangers' impressive return to the Championship. As committed as ever in defence, helping to keep three clean sheets, he also set up the only goal in the victory at Bolton Wanderers and scored the winner at Leeds United.

Andy Reid (Nottingham Forest)
Fitter and leaner due to a rigorous pre-season and now vice-captain, Reid sparked Forest's fine early form with pinpoint passing and three goals, including a special finish against Watford and a delightful free-kick at Wigan Athletic.

James Vaughan (Huddersfield Town)
Carried on his superb form from late last season with six goals in five games, including a hat-trick in the 5-1 win over Bournemouth, leading the line superbly and finishing with his head as well as shots from long and close range.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.
