An East Lancashire derby and a meeting of two Championship promotion contenders makes up this weekend's Sky Bet Football League action live on Sky Sports.

In Saturday's 12:15pm kick-off, Burnley host fierce rivals Blackburn Rovers.

Both of last season's meetings between the two teams ended in 1-1 draws - Sam Vokes struck an 89th-minute leveller at Turf Moor back in December 2012, before David Dunn netted to equalise in the final minutes of the reverse fixture four months later.

The fifth-place Clarets got the better of Derby County at Pride Park in their most recent outing, winning 3-0, while Rovers also won by a three-goal margin, beating Bolton Wanderers 4-1 at home.

A day after the derby, two of this season's predicted promotion contenders in the Championship do battle at the Madejski Stadium as Reading welcome Brighton and Hove Albion for a 1:15pm start.

Adam Le Fondre netted a 77th-minute penalty in Reading's most recent match, helping the Royals to a 1-0 win at Yeovil Town and their first three-point haul since the opening day of the campaign.

After consecutive 2-1 losses in the first two games of the new season, Brighton have managed to turn their form around, registering wins against Birmingham City and Burnley before drawing 1-1 with Millwall last time out.
