QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin is likely to miss the rest of the season after the club confirmed he suffered a cruciate injury against Derby on Saturday.
The Argentinian was stretchered off in the 77th minute of Rangers' 2-1 win and will be sidelined for between six and nine months.
The news is a cruel blow to the 27-year-old, who suffered a similar injury to his other knee in January 2012.
QPR's head of medical services Peter Florida-James told the club website: "It's a really nasty cruciate injury.
"We're all desperately disappointed for Ali, but he is a great professional and I'm sure he'll work just as hard at recovering from this injury as he did from his previous ACL rupture."
