The nominations for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for October have been announced.

They are as follows:-

Albert Adomah (Middlesbrough)
Predominantly a winger, Adomah popped up all over the front line, linking well with Kei Kamara and scoring two headers among his five October goals. His best strike was an imaginative lobbed finish in the 4-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.

Emmerson Boyce (Wigan Athletic)
Boyce's energetic displays and captaincy were pivotal in Wigan conceding just two goals in four games. Always willing to cover and lead by example, he also glanced home a last-minute winner in the 2-1 derby win against Blackburn Rovers.

Danny Ings (Burnley)
October was a month to remember for the young forward. As well as making his England Under-21 debut, Ings' dynamic and hard-working front play was rewarded with three goals, including both in the vital 2-0 win over top of the table rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest)
The midfielder's growing maturity and influence shone through during October. More vocal and disciplined in a midfield holding role, Lansbury chose his moments to go forward perfectly with a brace against Brighton and Hove Albion and a spectacular strike at home to Bournemouth.

The winners will be announced on Friday live on Sky Sports News.
