Burnley boss Sean Dyche has been named the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for October. This is the second month in succession that he has won the award.

A perfect October for Dyche saw his side move clear at the top of the Sky Bet Championship, conceding just one goal in the process.

Former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, who chairs the Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel, said: "Sean Dyche deservedly wins this award for the second consecutive month.

"The 100% record in October rightly puts his side top of the Sky Bet Championship."

Sky Sports' Football League pundit Don Goodman said: "Sean fully deserves his second Sky Bet Manager of the Month award in succession.

"The 2-0 victory over QPR showed how far his side have come. They should now be considered serious title challengers."

Sky Bet Head of Football Paul Wiggins said: "It was a great month for Burnley, who won every game.

"Home wins over promotion hopefuls Queens Park Rangers and Reading were sandwiched by great away results at Doncaster Rovers and Ipswich Town.

"The Clarets' bandwagon should roll into the winter months."
