Nottingham Forest captain Chris Cohen has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with the knee injury he sustained against Burnley.
Scans have revealed that Cohen suffered cruciate ligament damage during the 1-1 Sky Bet Championship draw with the league leaders at the City Ground on Saturday.
The versatile 26-year-old limped off in the closing stages of the game. He tried to carry on initially, but ultimately departed down the tunnel, reducing Forest to 10 men during injury time as Reds boss Billy Davies had used all three of his substitutes.
The club have confirmed that the injury is not a recurrence of the knee problem Cohen sustained against Derby in 2011, which kept him out for 11 months.
