Sheffield Wednesday have extended midfielder Stephen McPhail's contract by another month.

The 34-year-old's short-term deal expired after the weekend's draw at Burnley, but he will remain with the club until February 19.

McPhail, who trained with the Owls during the summer following his release from Cardiff, signed a short-term deal in September.

The former Leeds and Barnsley player has made 13 appearances for the club and will be in contention for Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round tie at Rochdale.
