Barnsley have extended winger Brek Shea's loan spell at the club for a further two months.

The Reds have reached agreement with the 23-year-old USA international's parent club Stoke City to extend his stay at Oakwell until 3rd April.

Shea, expected to make his third appearance for Barnsley in Tuesday night's home league game against Blackburn Rovers, arrived on New Year's Day.

Stoke paid Major League Soccer side FC Dallas £2.5million to bring Shea to England in January 2013 and he has made a total of five appearances for the Barclays Premier League club.
