Reading have have appealed Kaspars Gorkss' red card in Sunday's 3-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.

The Latvian was sent off against his former club in the 71st minute for a c hallenge on Junior Hoilett.

"After reviewing video footage of the incident, we have contacted the FA to notify them of our intention to appeal," a club statement read.

"We now have to make our submission with evidence by 1pm on Tuesday."

If the appeal fails then Gorkss will miss matches against Blackburn, Yeovil, Brighton and Leeds having already been sent off once this season.
