Injured Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Andrew Crofts remains on course to be fit for pre-season training.

Crofts' campaign came to a premature end when he suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament against Birmingham in January.

But the 29-year-old Wales international underwent successful surgery and is now off crutches and continuing his rehabilitation.

Club doctor Helge Riepenhof told the Seagulls' official website: "Crofty is making great strides and has shown real resolve and mental strength to come through a difficult period.

"He still has some way to go, but these are encouraging early signs."
