Leeds United have confirmed the official departure of defender Lee Peltier by mutual consent.

Peltier, 27, had one year remaining on his contract at Elland Road but is now free to find another club.

The former Yeovil Town and Leicester City full-back was recently linked with a permanent switch to Nottingham Forest, where he spent the back end of last season on loan, making seven appearances.

Peltier made a total of 73 appearances for Leeds after being signed from Leicester in the summer of 2012 and was made skipper under previous manager Neil Warnock.
