Matej Vydra has joined Watford from Udinese for a second time on an initial season-long loan deal, the club has confirmed.

The Czech Republic striker, who scored three times last year for West Brom in the Barclays Premier League, spent the 2012/13 season with the Hornets, receiving the Championship Player of the Year award for his outstanding performances.

During his initial spell at Vicarage Road, the 22-year-old scored an impressive 22 goals in 47 appearances which helped catapult Watford to a play-off final, eventually losing out in extra-time to Crystal Palace.

Vydra becomes boss Giuseppe Sannino's fifth summer signing following the arrival of Heurelho Gomes, Gabriel Tamas, Lloyd Dyer and Craig Cathcart.
