Brentford have confirmed the season-long loan-signing of Tottenham midfielder Alex Pritchard.

The 21-year-old impressed during a loan spell with Swindon last season, scoring six goals in 33 starts, prompting manager Mark Warburton to make a move.

"Alex is a player I have watched for many years," the Bees boss told the club's official website.

"He is very good tactically and technically, with excellent dead ball delivery.

"We fought off competition from a number of Championship clubs to get Alex to Griffin Park."

Despite agreeing a 12-month deal, though, Spurs have added a clause allowing them to recall the playmaker during the January transfer window should they wish to do so.

Pritchard becomes the fifth new arrival at Griffin Park this summer joining Moses Odubajo, Alan Judge, Andre Gray and Marcos Tebar Ramiro at the newly-promoted Sky Bet Championship side.
