Brentford have signed Scott Hogan from Rochdale for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old striker, named in the Sky Bet League Two team of the year last season, has agreed a three-year deal.

Hogan scored 19 goals in all competitions, including 17 in the league as Dale won promotion.

Bees manager Mark Warburton told Bees' official website: "We are delighted to have secured the signature of Scott Hogan, a player we have tracked for a long period.

"We have admired his obvious goalscoring ability and all-round contribution over that period of time.

"Scott fits our criteria in terms of age and development and potential.

"It is testament to the work of a sporting director Frank McParland and his team that we have got Scott.

"We once again fought off a number of Championship rivals for his signature.

"We look forward to Scott being involved (on Tuesday) against Barnet and playing a significant role in the season ahead."

Rochdale tweeted a goodbye to their former striker, saying: "We would like to thank @ScottHogan92 for the memories! We wish him the very best of luck for his time at Brentford and for the future #RAFC".
