Blackpool have signed their second goalkeeper of the week, and their 11th signing in as many days, after Elliot Parish agreed terms at Bloomfield Road.

The former Aston Villa, Cardiff and Bristol City stopper joins on a free transfer and, like many of the Seasiders' other recruits, has penned a 12-month deal with the option of a further year.

Parish, 24, played all 90 minutes in Blackpool's pre-season friendly with Burnley last Saturday, but will be expected to back up on-loan stopper Joe Lewis following his arrival this week.

"I'm really pleased to be here," Parish, who played 26 times for the Robins last season, told Blackpool's official website.

"It's a step up from Bristol City coming from League One to the Championship, so I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead.

"Joe Lewis is a friend of mine who I know from Cardiff. I look forward to battling it out with him and it'll be a good season."
