Name: Troy Deeney
Position: Striker
Club: Walsall
Date of birth: 29 June 1988
Tell us about your debut
Against Torquay away in April 2007. I came on as a sub and nearly scored, but the keeper saved it and it went out for a corner. That's about all I can remember of it. I remember more about the journey down and the banter in the coach. Richard Money was the manager and I didn't know I was going to play. I thought I was just traveling for experience.
Best goal you've scored?
Scunthorpe away last season. I scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw. It was in the 80th minute and I scored from 20 yards. It was outside the box so it must have been 20 yards.
Best stadium you've played at?
For facilities, Norwich City. For atmosphere, Leeds United. The first time I played there were about 24,000 watching, which was a good turnout. There was a good noise and they gave us a bit of stick.
Most embarrassing moment in football?
Getting subbed at half time at Southend. We were 1-0 down at the time and the whole team was playing poorly, but me and Alex Nicholls were the ones taken off. It was only my first full season so I wasn't in a position to say anything.
If you were the manager, who would you sign?
Wayne Rooney. I'm not a Manchester United fan - Birmingham is my team - but he is amazing because of his work rate and skills.
Favourite film?
Anything with Denzel Washington in it. John Q is probably my favourite.
Favourite TV programme?
Entourage. Every guy would want to be the main character - single and rich.
Most expensive thing you've bought?
I gave my girlfriend a £500 bracelet for Christmas. But that was to make up for missing her birthday.
Perfect woman (apart from your girlfriend)?
Jessica Alba. My girlfriend knows that anyway, it'll be no surprise to her.
Best prank?
I had a dead rat put in my car by Jabo Ibehre, which was disturbing but funny. Michael Ricketts and I had put Deep Heat in Jabo's boxers, so he put a frozen dead rat in both of our cars. It's OK, he knows that I know it was him.
If you weren't a footballer, what would you be?
A bricklayer - it's what I was doing before I was a player.
Favourite sportsperson outside of football?
Tiger Woods. Apart from all the latest stuff, of course.
Best freebie you've got?
Blues tickets - I got tickets to Birminghm v Aston Villa last season, which was a highlight. I get them through Martin O'Connor, the Walsall assistant manager. He knows people there from when he was a player.
Tell us something we don't know about you.
I have an eight-month-old son, who has settled me down. He moves around a lot and has a thing for plugs at the moment. Nightmare.
